Acknowledgement for the late Peter McKenna (Dungannon)

McKenna, Peter.

The family of the late Peter McKenna, Gort Road, Dungannon, wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude to family, friends and neighbours who offered their sympathy and support during the recent loss of a much loved husband of Pauline, foster father of Lee and cherished uncle.

A special thank you to all who called at the house, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, messages of support, flowers and helped out during the wake.

We would also like to thank Fr Heagney for his spiritual guidance and for celebrating Peter’s funeral Mass in St Patrick’s Church Eglish and presiding over his burial in St Patrick’s Graveyard, Donaghmore.

We are very grateful to Gerry Cunningham, Pat Casey and Helen Cush for the beautiful music and to all who assisted during his funeral mass.

Thank you also to Peter’s good friends in Donaghmore GFC and The Friends of Benburb, who provided a Guard of Honour for Peter in both Eglish and Donaghmore.

We would like to acknowledge the excellent care Peter received in recent years. In particular, we are gratefulto his daily carers and district nurses who attended to him with great professionalism and kindness. We also appreciate the high quality of care he received from the staff in Craigavon Area Hospital.

We wish to extend a special word of thanks to Paudge Quinn Undertakers, for his help and guidance during this difficult time and to Quinn’s Corner for funeral refreshments and for supplying food during the wake. We are also grateful to the gravedigger, Michael Vincent who prepared Peter’s final resting place.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our heartfelt appreciation

Peter’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Church, Eglish on Monday October 6, at 7.30pm.
