Acknowledgement for the late Patrick McLernon (Coalisland)

McLernon, Patrick Gerard, RIP, late of 3 Lisnastrane Court, Coalisland. The McLernon Family would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all those who sympathised with us on the loss of a much-loved Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather and Great Grandfather.

A special thanks to our extended Family and Friends for all their help and support throughout the wake and funeral.

Thank you to everyone who called to the house, left food, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, floral tributes, text messages, comments on social media, and telephone calls, to all of which were a great comfort.

A special word of thanks to the Staff in the Ambulance Service, A&E, Red Resus, and 2 North, Respiratory ward, Craigavon Area Hospital for their kindness to Daddy and attentive care throughout his short illness, especially in his final days, we are forever grateful.

The Family would also like to thank the Craigavon Hospital Chaplaincy for their spiritual assistance and the administration of the blessed sacraments.

A special thanks to Fr Eugene for all his support during the wake and for Daddy’s Funeral Mass, and in particular his reflective homily and beautiful eulogy.

Sincere thanks to Peter Devlin, and the Staff of Dorman’s Funeral Directors for their caring, attentive, and dignified way they conducted the funeral arrangement, also to the Grave Digger who prepared Daddy’s Final Resting Place, and to the Sacristan for his assistance during the Funeral Mass and burial.

We would like to thank Roisin McGlinchey and Mickey O’Neill for the most moving, and beautiful singing and music, which made Patrick Gerard’s funeral Mass all the more special.

Many thanks to the readers Ciara, Aoibheann, Ceallaigh, Lisa, Julie, and Theres, and to Ceceil, and the other Eucharistic Minister.

A special word of thanks to Michelle Gildernew MP for her kindness and emotional support during Daddy’s hospital stay and especially in his last few days, and the days after, and for all her emotional support during the wake and funeral service.

Also, a sincere thank you to Francie Molloy MP for all his support, and guidance during the wake and funeral, in particular, the kind and fitting tribute that he give at Daddy’s grave on the day of his funeral.

A special thank you to the Coalisland & Clonoe Martyrs Sinn Féin Cumman and to Daddy’s Guard of Honour for giving him a dignified and respectful burial.

Thank you to the Mill Court and their staff, for the beautiful meal they provided after the burial.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement is accepted as a token of our appreciation.

Patrick Gerard’s Month Mind Mass will be in SS Mary & Joseph Church, Brackaville, Coalisland on Friday January 6, 2023 at 7.30pm.
