McGeown, Patrick.
The Family of the late Patrick McGeown would like to thank all those who supported them during their recent sad bereavement.
We especially thank all our wonderful family, friends and neighbours for their support to Dad over his lifetime and particularly in his ill health.
To all those who attended the wake and funeral and offered condolences, we offer our sincere gratitude.
We thank also the many individuals and businesses in the town who brought gifts of food especially McGleenans Centra.
No words seem adequate to express our depth of gratitude to those who cared for Dad during his illness at home and in hospital and especially to the exemplary care he received in Evora hospice.
Many thanks also to the spiritual and pastoral support he received from Canon Sean O Neill who visited and prayed with him in hospital and in Evora and to Rev Fr Greg Carvill who celebrated a very fitting and personal mass.
The mass was greatly enhanced by the music provided by Catherine and Dermot and by Patricia and Noel who prepared the church for the funeral.
To Bridget and team from Mone funeral directors for the compassionate and professional handling of all the funeral arrangements.
Also to Granemore hall for the use of their facilities to host the burial meal kindly provided Mary B Mone.
Finally we really couldn’t have finished off without thanking a certain few people who worked tirelessly in the background for us. They really went above and beyond in getting us through it all and we will never forget what you done for us. You know who you are!!
At risk of failing to mention someone we trust this acknowledgment will be accepted by all as a sincere token of our appreciation.
Patrick’s month mind mass will be held in St Mary’s Church Granemore on Saturday, March 28, at 5:30pm
