Acknowledgement for the late Patrick John Toner (Glenanne/Newry)

Toner, Patrick John.

The family of the late Patrick John Toner (Glenanne/Newry) would like to thank all those who sympathised with and supported them during their sad bereavement.

To our wonderful family and friends, whose help and support during the wake and funeral, and indeed throughout dad’s life, were tremendous, we are deeply grateful. We sincerely thank everyone who attended the wake and funeral, brought Mass cards, sent messages or posted expressions of sympathy online.

Please be assured that every gesture was very much appreciated. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to those who supported us from overseas and to everyone who viewed the funeral online.

We are also very grateful to all who brought gifts of food to the house, and to family and friends who helped to make and serve tea and refreshments during the wake. Your help and kindness were greatly appreciated.

Massive thanks to all those who cared for dad at home and, more recently, in Ashgrove Care Home. Your kindness, care and compassion meant so much to us and to dad.

We thank particularly Rev. Fr. Greg Carvill, who visited the wake house and celebrated a very personal and deeply meaningful Funeral Mass, and Kathy Kelly for her beautiful singing, which added so much to the celebration of dads life.

Finally, we thank Bridget and the team from Mone Funeral Directors for the complete, compassionate and professional handling of all the funeral arrangements. We are also grateful to Ballymacnab Hall for the use of the hall to host the post-burial meal, kindly provided by McEntee’s Catering.

At the risk of failing to mention someone, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a sincere token of our appreciation.

John’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held in St Patrick’s Church, Ballymacnab, on Sunday, September 6, at 9.30am.
