Acknowledgement for the late Pat Tomany (Carnagh)

Tomany, Pat. (Carnagh). Pat’s wife Sally, daughters Orla, Aiveen and Neasa, son Patrick, and the entire family circle, wish to express their sincere thanks and grateful appreciation to all those who sympathised with them during their recent bereavement.

To our wonderful family, friends, neighbours and members of our Parish & community, your kindness, support and help has been invaluable during this difficult time.

To all those who attended the wake and funeral, brought mass cards, sent messages of sympathy both online and by post, all of these gestures were greatly appreciated.

We also wanted to thank those who helped at our family home during the wake. Those who organised external lighting and supervised parking, those who supported with hosting visitors at the house, those who brought gifts of food and offered us guidance during the preparation for the funeral. To each of the priests, including Very Reverend Canon Michael Crawley PE AP, who visited our home and guided us by prayerful contemplation throughout the wake, thank you for those moments of meaningful reflection.

We also would like to acknowledge the Southern Trust Community Care Team who supported Pat in recent times. Thank you for your kindness.

We thank Very Reverend Fr. Aidan Murphy PE AP, whose spiritual counsel provided particular support to our family. Fr Aidan was the main celebrant at Pat’s requiem mass which was concelebrated by our Parish Priest, Very Reverend Fr. John McKeever. Thank you both for this beautiful & meaningful celebration of Pat’s life.

To the members of Saint Mochua Derrynoose GFC who provided a special guard of honour accompanying the funeral procession into St Mochua’s Church. Thank you for this gesture of support.

To Eilis Fox, the soloist, and her accompanist, Sara Jane, for the wonderful music which enriched the solemnity of the occasion and celebration of the mass. To Paul Carroll, the Sacristan, for preparing St Mochua’s Church and to Derrynoose Community Centre for providing the post funeral refreshments. Thank you.

Finally to Bridget Mone of Mone Funeral Directors, for the compassion and professionalism shown in her handling of all the funeral arrangements, thank you Bridget.

At the risk of forgetting to mention someone, we trust this acknowledgement is acceptable as a sincere token of our appreciation at this difficult time.

Pat’s month’s mind mass will be held in St. Mochua’s Church, Derrynoose on Sunday February 26, at 10am.
