Acknowledgement for the late Pat Daly (Armagh)

Daly, Pat.

Armagh (formerly of Creggan, Carrickmore)

We, the family of the late Pat Daly would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who offered their sympathies and support during our recent bereavement.

Thank you to all who attended Pat’s funeral Mass and burial, and to those who visited the family home during his wake, sent Mass and sympathy cards, contacted us by phone and posted messages of condolence.

Sincere thanks to our extended family and friends who helped in so many practical ways at Pat’s wake and funeral, whether that was bringing food, making tea and assisting with arrangements in the house. Your support is greatly appreciated. We also offer a special word of gratitude to Naomh Colmcille, Carrickmore GAA, for the use of a club jersey to acknowledge Pat’s life-long devotion of his club, to Curran’s and McAnerney’s Supermarkets and our local takeaways for their gifts of food and groceries.

The funeral Mass was a fitting tribute of Pat’s life, and we are eternally grateful to Fr Giacomo Taffi, for his prayerful support throughout the wake and for his insightful homily as part of the Pat’s funeral Mass. We also wish to thank Rory Madden and Malachi Cush for the beautiful music and prayerful singing.

We thank those who prepared Pat’s grave so attentively and JJ McArdle & Sons for their professionalism, compassion and sensitivity in undertaking the funeral arrangements. We are also grateful to the staff and pupils of St Peter’s PS, for their guard of honour at the Cathedral entrance and to pupils from St Patrick’s HS, Keady, representing Pat’s teaching career.

Sincerest thanks to all who took care of Pat including the medical and nursing staff at Craigavon Area Hospital, the Acute Care at Home team, the team at Archway Surgery, and the Trust’s Podiatry team who tended so compassionately to Pat throughout his illness.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude and appreciation for your love and support at this challenging time. The celebration of Mass will be offered for all your intentions.

Pat’s Month Mind Mass will take place in St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Armagh, on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at 12.30pm.
