Our heartfelt thanks to all those who attended to Daddy during his illness. A very special mention goes to Dr Cormac McKay, his father John and all the staff of Ardmore medical practice, the district nursing team especially Norma and Eithne, the Marie Curie nursing team especially Majella and Allison and Denver and his team at the Torrent pharmacy. We will never forget the care, compassion, kindness, dignity and respect which you all gave to Daddy.

We owe a debt of gratitude to the many Clergy who attended to Daddy’s spiritual needs and who gave him so much comfort at all times during his life, especially in his last weeks. A special mention to our friends, Fr McAleer, Fr McAnenly, Monsignor Curry and Dean Donaghy for ensuring Daddy’s requiem Mass was dignified and fitting for the man he was.

To all those who helped at our home, your kindness and support has been overwhelming. Special mention to all those who helped in the kitchen and those who brought food and refreshments.

Our sincere thanks and appreciation also go to the members of Saint Patrick’s GAA Donaghmore and our dear neighbours and friends for stewarding and transporting visitors to and from our home in treacherous weather conditions, your job was not easy but was carried out with great care and respect.

Thanks to everyone who reached out to us via telephone, with online tributes, those who called at our home, those who sent Mass cards and floral tributes and all those who joined us for Daddy’s funeral Mass.

To Rory Madden and Cathal and Stephen Hayden for the most beautiful and moving musical tributes at Daddy’s funeral Mass, it brought comfort and peace to us all at a very sad time, we are indebted to you for your kindness.

A particular word of thanks to Paudge Quinn and his staff for the professional and dignified manner in which they carried out our Daddy’s funeral arrangements and for Paudge’s gentle care and respect.

Thanks to the team at Quinn’s corner for the beautiful meal after the funeral Mass.

Thanks to Mickey Vincent for preparing Daddy’s final resting place most professionally.
We as a family trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our most sincere appreciation and gratitude for your kindness and support during our time of grief.

We have been truly touched and are so grateful for your compassion and loving support. You will all be remembered in a special Mass offered at SMA house Dromantine.

Paddy’s Month Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday February 18, at 11 am at Saint Patrick’s Chapel, Donaghmore.
