Acknowledgement for the late Michael McClelland (Granemore)

McClelland, Michael.

Michael’s wife Ita, daughters Maeve and Colleen, son Michael, grandchildren and his sisters and brother would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised and supported us over the wake and funeral.
To all our wonderful family, friends and kind neighbours whose help and support was invaluable. To all who attended the wake and funeral, brought masscards and sympathy cards, sent messages or posted online their expressions of sympathy we thank you. Also to all the individuals and businesses who brought gifts of food to the house and to all the ladies who made and served the tea over the busy days of the wake. Also massive thanks to the men who did practical things outside and to Gerard for help with parking facilities. We would like to convey our thanks to the Respiratory team and the Hospital at Home team who provided professional support during his illness and to the exemplary care from the staff of the Enhanced Care Unit at Daisy Hill Hospital.

We thank also all the clergy who gave Michael pastoral support throughout his lifetime and in a special way to Rev Fr Greg Carvill who visited Michael in hospital and came to the home and celebrated the funeral mass. The mass was greatly enhanced by the music provided by Sinead Murphy and to Noel and Patricia who prepared the church.

Finally to Bridget Mone and all at Mone funeral Directors for the complete and professional handling of all the funeral arrangements and to Granemore GFC for the use of the hall to host the post burial meal kindly provided by Mary B Mone catering services.

At the risk of failing to mention someone we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a sincere token of our appreciation.

Michael’s month mind mass will be held in St Marys Church Granemore on Friday 4th September @ 7pm
