Acknowledgement for the late Maurice Austin (Derrytransa)

Death Notice Armagh I

Austin, Maurice. We the family of the late Maurice Austin would like to express our sincere gratitude to all who helped and supported us in many ways during our recent sad bereavement. Your many acts of kindness and sympathy are greatly appreciated and continue to give us great comfort.

To our wonderful extended family, friends and neighbours who visited our home, attended the funeral Mass and the burial, to those who provided refreshments and food, to all who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent Mass /sympathy cards, floral tributes, messages of condolences, to those that donated to the chosen charity, and to all who kept us in their prayers, we are forever grateful.

We particularly want to thank all those in the care of Maurice at his time of passing, Dr B. Salisbury, Dr S. Maguire, J. Crumley and the entire staff of the Acquired Brain Injury Unit and Dr. Watt and all the staff of Church Walk Surgery, Lurgan.

A special word of thanks to the Priests of Seagoe, Moyraverty and Lurgan parishes for their attending to Maurice, their prayers with us in our home for Maurice and our family, their prayers at the various Masses during the time of the wake – the spirit of prayer brought us great comfort and peace.
To Fr Brian Fitzpatrick PP and Fr Chris Ambale for the beautiful Requiem Mass – we are deeply appreciative.

Thank-you also to those who lined the funeral route and to Rose and Patsy Murray for all their work behind the scenes. The funeral was made especially memorable by the music and singing provided by Ciaran and Christine Scullion and thanks to Mairead Breen for the elegant flowers.

To Mc Alinden and Murtagh Funeral Directors for their compassionate, professional and dignified handling of all the funeral arrangements and thank-you to the grave digger.

At risk of failing to mention someone we trust this acknowledgment will be accepted as a sincere token of appreciation.

The sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Maurice’s month’s mind will be celebrated on Wednesday June 1, 2022 in St Mary’s Derrytrasna at 7pm
