Acknowledgement for the late Mary ‘Maureen’ Murtagh (Armagh)

Armagh I Death Notice

Murtagh, Mary ‘Maureen’.

The family of the late Maureen Murtagh (née Arthurs) would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all who supported and sympathised with us during our recent bereavement.

A heartfelt thanks to all family, friends and neighbours who attended the wake and funeral service and to those who sent Mass and Sympathy Cards, wreaths, posted condolences online and telephoned.

To family and friends who provided food and support to us during this time; your generosity, help and friendship was greatly appreciated.

Our sincere thanks also to The Friary Surgery and to all those who cared for Maureen over the years. Thanks especially to the Domiciliary Care Team who attended to her daily at home and most recently the staff of Collegelands Nursing Home whose kindness and care of her was deeply appreciated.

Special thanks to Fr. Barry Matthews who attended Maureen in Collegelands Nursing Home and to Fr. Peter McAnenly who celebrated the Requiem Mass and brought great comfort to the family. Thanks also to Cathy Kelly and Patricia Hagan for the beautiful music and singing during the service.

For their professionalism and extremely sensitive approach to every aspect of the funeral arrangements we are so grateful to Martin Kelly Funeral Directors.

Thanks also to Mulberry Bistro for the food and refreshments provided after Maureen’s funeral.

As it is impossible to thank everybody individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a sincere token of our appreciation.

Maureen’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Friday November 25 in St Malachy’s Church, Armagh at 7:30pm.
