Acknowledgement for the late Martina Rafferty (Tassagh)

Martina Rafferty Armagh i Death notice

Rafferty, Martina, Tassagh. Martina’s daughter Roisin, sons Aidan, Sean and Colm wish to express their profound thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised with them during their sad bereavement.

To all our wonderful family, friends and kind neighbours whose help and friendship was greatly appreciated not just around Martina’s death but over the years.

To all those who attended the wake/funeral, sent mass/sympathy cards, brought gifts of food and floral tributes we thank you. Thanks also to those who telephoned, sent messages or posted online their expressions of sympathy. We assure you these brought great solace to us all.

Many thanks to Dr McCormack and the Stroke Unit staff in Craigavon Hospital for their exemplary end of life care given to Martina and to Dunlarg Care Home for their excellent care over the past 4 1/2 years. Martina was very happy there. Thanks also to Dr Watters and the staff of Tassagh Health Centre for their care of mum for many years.

Especial acknowledgement and thanks to the priests of the parish, Fr Greg Carville and our previous p.p. Fr Peter Kerr who celebrated a very beautiful and fitting funeral mass. Thanks also to Petrina and Liam for preparing the church for Martina’s removal the night before the funeral.

To Kathy Kelly our neighbour, who provided the wonderful music and singing which greatly enhanced the celebration of the funeral mass and to another of mum’s good friends, Rosie Smyth (and Tiernan), for their beautiful rendition of Sliabh Gallion’s Braes.

Finally to Mone Funeral Directors for the compassionate and very professional handling of all the funeral arrangements. Thank you Bridget.

We trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a sincere token of our appreciation.

Martina’s month mind mass will be held in St Patrick’s Church Ballymacnab on Friday July 15, at 7:30 pm and may be viewed here
