Rice, Lily.
The family of the late Lily Rice wish to thank all those who offered sympathy and support during our recent bereavement.
We want to say thanks to all who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, made phone calls, sent text messages and left online messages. We sincerely thank the many friends, neighbours and extended family circle who paid their respects at the wake or helped and supported us in any way and to everyone who attended the wake and the funeral. As a family we are overwhelmed by the support we have received.
We would like to thank Cootehill first responders and all the medical and nursing staff in Connolly Hospital, Cavan Hospital and Monaghan Hospital especially Dr Wilham and his palliative care team in the Willowbridge ward Monaghan hospital for all their care and compassion shown to Lily and our family during her last weeks and days. We are very grateful to all those who donated to the Willowbridge ward in memory of Lily.
We would like to extend a very sincere thanks Fr John Mc Kenna for his pastoral visits to Lily while in hospital and for celebrating such a beautiful and meaningful requiem mass.
We are also thankful to Scotshouse choir for the lovely music and hymns which provided great comfort and a fitting goodbye to Lily.
Thanks to Rory Halton for the care taken in the preparation of Lily’s final resting place.
Finally, we wish to thank George Hall and Dominic Moore of George Hall Funeral Directors for their compassion and professionalism throughout Lily’s wake and funeral. Their guidance and support were deeply appreciated.
As it would be impossible to individually thank all those whose kindness has brought such comfort to us, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation during this difficult time.
