Acknowledgement for the late Kieran Murphy (Silverbridge)

Murphy, Kieran.

The family of the late Kieran Murphy (McShanes Rd, Silverbridge) wish to express their sincere appreciation and thanks to the very many people who supported and sympathised with them on the unexpected loss of a much-loved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many.

Many thanks to all our wonderful family, friends and neighbours whose support was invaluable during the wake and funeral. To all those who attended the wake and funeral, brought Mass cards, sent messages of sympathy, gifts of food, and travelled a distance to express their condolences in person, please know that your kindness was tremendously appreciated. We also acknowledge those who were unable to attend but reached out to us by phone, message or letter.

Our sincere gratitude to the ladies who worked tirelessly in the kitchen providing tea and refreshments to the wake attendees, and to the men who kindly assisted with parking. We would also like to thanks to everyone who provided food during the wake, and McEntee’s Catering for supplying the food following the funeral. Thanks to Silverbridge GFC for providing chairs. Thanks also to Hearty’s Cottage for hosting the gathering after the funeral.

No words seem adequate to convey our appreciation to the First Responders, Emergency Services and the staff of Craigavon A&E for their gallant and professional efforts to preserve Kieran’s life, and for the compassion and care they showed to our family.

Many thanks also to Canon Michael Toner for his pastoral support and for celebrating a very fitting and personal funeral Mass, which was enhanced by the beautiful music provided by Kevin Grogan. We also thank Archbishop Michael Martin who attended the funeral and burial, and Bishop Michael Router who visited the wake.

Finally, we would like to thank Mone Funeral Directors for the caring, responsive and professional handling of all the funeral arrangements.

At the risk of failing to mention someone, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a sincere token of our appreciation.

Kieran’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held in St Patrick’s Church, Cullyhanna, on Sunday, March 22, at 11:30am.
