Acknowledgement for the late Kathleen McStravick (Aghagallon)

McStravick, Kathleen.

The sons and daughters of the late Kathleen McStravick (née Tallon) wish to express our sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with us and offered us their support following our recent sad bereavement.

We offer our thanks for the remarkable support we received from our relatives, neighbours and friends who visited during the wake, brought food, who left Mass cards and sympathy cards, those who offered their sympathy and kind words and attended the Requiem Mass. Thank you to our family circle and friends for the hospitality they provided to the many visitors during the wake.

We will be forever grateful to the Community Carers who cared for mummy with such kindness, dignity and respect and to the GPs, Nurses and staff of Aghalee Surgery, the staff of Aghalee Pharmacy, the Lurgan District Nursing Team and the Marie Curie night team for all their compassion and support which enabled us to care for mummy at home.

A special word of thanks to Fr Declan Mulligan PP for the spiritual support given to mummy at home, for his comfort and guidance to us and for celebrating mummy’s Requiem Mass. Thank you to Ciara Gribben for her beautiful singing and music and all who contributed to a wonderful celebration of the Mass. Thank you to Shauna McStravick for the Mass booklets and to the Eucharistic Ministers Tina McStravick and Cris Bunting.

Thank you to Jack & Margaret McLearnon and Kieran Mulholland for the professional and dignified way in which they carried out the funeral arrangements.

A special word of thanks to the committee and members of St Mary’s GAC Aghagallon and especially to those members who formed a Guard of Honour for mummy. Thanks to the Aghagallon Community Group for providing the use of the Community Hall and to Diane Mulholland and the staff of the Gate Inn for providing the hospitality after the funeral.

Finally, our thanks to those who gave donations in lieu of flowers to Down and Connor Apostolic Work.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.

Mass will be offered for your intentions at Kathleen’s Month’s Mind Mass which will be celebrated on Saturday October 26, 2024 in St Patrick’s Church, Aghagallon at 7.00pm.
