Kelly, Joe.
We, the family of the late Joe Kelly, would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who offered their sympathies and support during our recent bereavement.
Thank you to all who attended Joe’s funeral Mass and burial, and to those who kindly visited the family home for his wake (particularly in such inclement conditions), sent Mass and sympathy cards, contacted us by phone and posted messages of condolence online.
We are also grateful for the many generous donations to Armagh Christian Brothers’ Primary School handball fund in Joe’s memory.
Sincere thanks to all who helped in so many practical ways at Joe’s wake and funeral – bringing food, making tea and assisting with arrangements in the house. Your support is greatly appreciated.
We offer a special word of gratitude to 1st Armagh Scout Group, Currans, Mulberry and our local takeaways.
The funeral mass was a beautiful celebration of Joe’s life and we are forever grateful to those who helped make it such a fitting tribute to him, especially Fr Barry Matthews, to whom we are indebted for all his support and prayer during Joe’s final weeks and for his beautiful homily.
We also thank Patricia Hagan, Denise Hagan and Cathy Crozier for their beautiful music, which we feel sure Joe would have thoroughly enjoyed.
We thank those who prepared Joe’s grave so attentively and J J McArdle & Sons for their professionalism, compassion and sensitivity in undertaking the funeral arrangements.
We are also grateful to Eugene Quinn Handball Club, Armagh CBS, members of NI Ambulance Service and Maidens of Macha Netball Club for their thoughtful guard of honour at St Patrick’s Cathedral.
Sincerest thanks to all who took care of Joe during his illness – all medical and nursing staff and especially the staff of Dunlarg Care Home, the Acute Care at Home team, Dr Wright of Willowbank Surgery, and Friary Surgery.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude and appreciation for your love and support at this difficult time.
The celebration of Mass will be offered for all your intentions.
Joe’s Month Mind Mass will take place in St. Malachy’s Church, Armagh on Friday, December 19, at 7.30pm.
