Acknowledgement for the late Jim Haughey (Keady)

Haughey, Jim. Jim’s wife Yvonne, son Brendan, daughters Mairead, Petrina, Michelle and Fionnuala and the entire family circle wish to express their profound thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised and offered support during their very sad bereavement.

To all our wonderful family, friends and kind neighbours whose support and help was invaluable over the wake and indeed over the years as well.

To all those who attended the wake/funeral, brought mass/sympathy cards, gifts of food and floral tributes, telephoned, sent messages or posted online condolences we were most humbled and grateful by your concern.

Special thanks to all those who helped out during the wake and in particular the ladies who made and served the tea and to the men who dug the grave.

We express our eternal thanks to the Doctors, nurses and ancillary staff of C. A.H. and the community team and especially the staff of Enable Care Services, the Keady District Nursing team, the Drs and staff of Willowbank Surgery and the staff of McKeevers chemist Keady.

Also we valued the Palluative Care Team and the Marie Curie Nurses and the O.T department which collectively enabled Jim to be cared for and enriched his life at home.

Finally to the staff of 2 North C.A.H who compassionatly cared for Jim in his end of life journey,

Massive thanks to Granemore GAA for their Guard of Honour at the removal and the use of the hall for refreshments after the burial and to Keady Comhaltas for their musical tribute at the graveside as Jim was laid to rest.

We thanks the priests of Keady and CilChuluna parishes and in particular Fr Aidan McCann for his First Friday calls and to Fr Greg Carville for his pastoral care of Jim and for officiating at a very personal and fitting requiem mass.

Thanks also to Cecilia Green who unfailingly brought the Eucharist to Jim over past 2 years

To Noel and Patricia for preparing the chapel and to Catherine and Dermot for the beautiful music we are most grateful.

Finally to Parks in Newtownhamilton for the post burial refreshments and to Mone Funeral Directors for their professional and compassionate handling of all the funeral arrangements.

We hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a sincere token of our appreciation.
