McGeown, James. (Brocagh Co Tyrone and formerly Clady Co Armagh)
March 12, 2026.
James’ wife Marie, sons, daughters and extended family circle wish to thank all those who sympathised with them on the loss of a much loved husband, father, grandfather, neighbour and friend to many people. To all our wonderful family, friends and kind neighbours who rallied around and supported us over James illness, wake and funeral. To all those who visited the wake and funeral and especially all those who travelled a distance we assure you your presence meant so much.
Thanks to those who brought masscards, gifts of food to the house and to the ladies who served the tea over the busy days to all the wake attendees. Special gratitude to all James’ great friends who visited him over his illness and lifted his spirits. To that end we extend a very special thanks to Fr McCallion for his frequent visits and excellent pastoral care .
Massive thanks to Dr Eoghan Fearon and his staff from Willowbank Surgery Keady, the District Nursing team from Coalisland for their attentive and professional care of James and to the Macmillan team for their input.
To Siobhan and Plunkett who provided the music to enhance the celebration of James’ requiem mass words seem inadequate to express our thanks. Also thanks to the sacristan and gravedigger for their efforts.
Finally to Mone funeral Directors Keady for the complete, compassionate and professional handling of all the funeral arrangements and to Washing Bay Centre for the use of their facilities to host the post burial refreshments kindly provided by Kelly Ann and her staff.
At the risk of failing to mention someone we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a sincere token of our appreciation.
James’ month mind mass will be celebrated in St Michael’s Church Clady Co Armagh BT60 2FF on Sunday 12th April at 11:30
