McWhirter, Godfrey and Muriel. The family of Godfrey and Muriel McWhirter would like to express their thanks to everyone who supported us in our recent bereavements. They were much-loved parents, mother & father-in-law, grandparents, great grandparents and also loved brother, uncle and aunt, sister/ brother-in-law.
Thank you to all concerned for the friendship, support and care given to Mum and Dad over an extended period prior to their passing. Thanks to everyone who attended the funerals and committals. Thank you to all for the sympathy cards, letters, phone calls and messages.
We also appreciate the donations to Newry Methodist Church in lieu of flowers.
Sincere thanks to all the GPs and Staff at Meadowlands Surgery and the District Nursing Teams for the care and attention given to Muriel and Godfrey. Thanks also to the medical staff at Daisy Hill and other Hospitals for the professional skill and care provided to both Muriel and Godfrey over a number of years. Also a thanks to the staff of Rockfield Nursing Home for their care of Muriel in her closing months.
A special thanks is due to all of the carers in the District Care team for their care and friendship which enabled Muriel and Godfrey to remain at home for so many years.
Thanks to Rev. Louise Donald for conducting the funeral services and Elizabeth Redfern for the organ music. Our appreciation also to Courtney’s and other family friends in providing food.
Finally a massive thank you to Gavin and Declan from George Preston Funeral Directors for the professional and sensitive way in which they managed all of the funeral arrangements.
