Acknowledgement for the late Gerard Rafferty (Keady)

Gerard’s sisters Anne, Patricia, Carmel, brothers Damian and Jarlath, sister and brothers in law, nieces, nephews wish to thank all those who sympathised with them during their sad bereavement. To all our wonderful family, friends and especially kind neighbours whose help and support was invaluable over Gerard’s short illness and over the wake and funeral and indeed throughout his life.

Thank-you to the many people who attended the wake and funeral, brought mass/sympathy cards, telephoned messaged or posted online their condolences we assure you these were greatly appreciated. We thank also the many individuals who brought gifts of food to the wake and to the people who made and served the tea throughout the busy days of the wake.

A special thanks to all those who cared for Gerard notably Keady First Responders, Dr McEvoy and staff of Willowbank surgery, Keady District Nursing Team, Ann’s homecare, Staff of Craigavon hospital and particularly The Acute Medical Unit and Ward 3North.

Sincere gratitude to Fr Sean O’Neill for his pastoral care of Gerard and family and for celebrating a very personal and fitting funeral mass. To the Gribben Sisters for providing the music which enhanced the mass and to Paul (sacriston), altarservers and gravedigger.

We thank also Mary B Mone and staff of the Caledonian for the lovely post burial meal.

Finally to Bridget Mone and team from Mone Funeral Directors for their professional, sensitive and dignified handling of all the funeral arrangements.

If we have failed to mention someone we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a sincere token of our appreciation.

Gerard’s month mind mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Church Keady on Sunday April 7, at 11:30am.
