Acknowledgement for the late Genevieve McKernan (Middletown)

Genevieve’s husband Francis together with their children Brian, Francis, Margaret, Joan, Colm and Kieran would like to express their heartfelt thanks and sincere gratitude to all those who sympathised with them on the recent sad bereavement of their devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

The family would especially like to thank all their relatives, friends and neighbours for all their help, time, generosity and support during their recent bereavement.

Thank you to those who travelled from near or far to Middletown for the wake and funeral service.

A special thank you to Middletown GAA and stewards for all their help with transporting people safely to and from the wake. Also to Kate and Damien McGuinness for the use of their business premises to park cars. .

Thank you to all who took part in the guard of honour Middletown GAA, Truwood, Toal Truck Services and St John’s Primary School.

A special thank you to Fr Moore for all his kindness and support to both Genevieve and family and also for officiating the funeral mass.

Thank you to Middletown sacristan Martin McCann for all his help and the local gravediggers for their care and time.

Thank you Monaghan Plant Hire for the use of their floodlights during the wake.

Finally, a very special thank you to Eamon, Martin and Paddy from E C Hughes Funeral Directors and The Commercial Bar Middletown for the dignified and professional handling of all Genevieve’s funeral arrangements.

Thank you to all the nurses, doctors and health professionals who helped care for Genevieve.

Genevieve’s month’s mind mass will be celebrated on Saturday December 10 at 12 noon in St John’s Chapel, Middletown.
