Acknowledgement for the late Eugene ‘Oweny’ McDonnell (Aughanduff)

McDonnell, Eugene. ‘Owenys’ family and friends from both Ireland and Canada would like to express their sincere and heartfelt thanks to all those who supported and sympathised with them throughout their recent bereavement.

To the many who called to the wake house, brought food, mass cards and helped in any way throughout the wake and funeral we are eternally grateful.

Thank you to Dr Maguire, to Karen and all the staff of Mullaghbawn pharmacy and to the enable care staff. A special thanks to Michelle Keenan palliative care and Paul Rooney Marie Curie for their professional advice and support.

A Heartfelt thank you to Fr. Emyln McGinn for his home visits to Oweny during his illness, for his support during the wake and beautiful celebration of the Requiem mass. A special mention to Fr Declan for his spiritual support during the wake and Eilish and Aidan Parish Sacristans.

Thank you to all who participated during the funeral mass, readers, gift bearers, musicians and singers and thank you to the Belleek Country House and staff for the beautiful meal after the funeral.

To Brendan and all at McConville Funeral Directors, thank you for your respectful and professional services. A special gratitude for arranging the dignified traditional horse drawn hearse, we know Oweny would have been so proud.

It is impossible to thanks everyone individually but we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation.
