McQuade, Dessie.
The family of the late Dessie McQuade would like to express their heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended his wake and funeral. Your kindness, mass cards, sympathy cards, prayers, flowers and presence meant so much to us. We are grateful to our relatives, friends, neighbours, and to all who travelled to be with us. Thank you also to those who made tea, brought food, shared stories, and treasured memories, or kept Dessie and our family in their thoughts and prayers.
To those who cared for Dessie, especially the team from Ann’s Home Care, Edna and her colleagues from the Southern Health Trust, the Acute care team at home, the staff of Abbey Court Surgery and the teams of occupational therapists & speech and language therapists, we cannot thank you enough for your care, compassion and support especially over the past couple of years. We would also like to offer our deepest thanks to those who cared for Dessie in the neurology departments of Belfast City hospital and Royal Hospital and in particular Dr Kearney.
We are very grateful to Father James & Dr Eunan McCreesh Deacon for their spiritual support and for celebrating Dessie’s funeral mass. We would also like to thank Cathy Kelly for the beautiful music during Dessie’s funeral mass. Our thanks is also shown to the Harps club and Our T’s for the use of their facilities to host the post burial refreshments and all those who delivered food to the wake.
To those who kindly donated towards Armagh Apostolic works, we say a special word of thanks for your generosity during our time of sadness.
Finally, we offer our gratitude to JJ McArdle and sons, whose professionalism and thoughtfulness in taking care of all the funeral arrangements allowed us to focus on celebrating Dessie’s life.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Dessie’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 21, at 7.30pm in St Malachy’s Chapel, Armagh
