Acknowledgement for the late Danny O’Rawe (Middletown)

O’Rawe, Danny.

Dano, Sinéad, Kevin, Niamh, Sean and the entire family of the late Danny O’Rawe, who sadly passed away on October 12, 2024.

We wish to express our thanks and appreciation for all who sympathised and supported us on the loss of our much-loved Daddy, Granda and Great Granda.

We would like to thank everyone who came to the wake & attended the funeral. Who shared stories of dad and listened to ours. Who laughed with us, cried with us and remembered the happier times with us.

To Martin, Paddy, Eamonn and all at E.C Hughes funeral directors, Daddy would not have had anyone else look after him. We are thankful for the professional, dignified and graceful manor in which you handled everything. For this, we are eternally grateful.

A special word of thanks to consultant Niamh Melby and all the staff at Lagan Valley Urgent Care Centre. Who went above and beyond to ensure that we got “the big man” home.

We also thank Father Moore who supported our family during daddy’s passing with warmth, guidance and celebrating a beautiful requiem mass.

We would also like to thank Daddy’s friends who prepared his final resting place, you know who you are and we would have been lost without you.

To Sean McElwain, Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin and the entire Monaghan Sinn Féin team. We were honoured to have you escort daddy to his final resting place.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted by all with our heartfelt thanks.

Daddy’s months mind mass will be celebrated in St. John’s Catholic Church, Middletown, on Saturday November 9, at 11am, with a light buffet and refreshments afterwards in Hughes Bar, Middletown.
