Acknowledgement for the late Cora Powell (Armagh)

Powell, Cora.

The family of the late Cora Powell wish to express their sincere thanks to all those who have sympathised with them on their recent bereavement.

A special thanks to Fr. Barry for his spiritual support, guidance and provision of such a personalised requiem mass, and, the clergy of Armagh Parish who have supported family members at this time.

Thanks to Cora’s great friend Joanne Mackle for the beautiful music, the sacristan Roger Dougan and those who prepared the grave.

Thank you to all those who sent mass cards, sympathy cards, made donations to the Poor Clare’s, called at the house, brought/provided food and refreshments, attended the funeral or helped in any way.

Thank you for those who stood along the route as we made the journey to the chapel, we took great comfort on the morning of the funeral from the support of everyone who lined the funeral cortege route, for those who joined us at the Cathedral and for those who viewed Cora’s funeral mass online from all parts of the world including her cousins in Australia, Canada and the UK. It has given us all great comfort in knowing how loved and respected Cora was by you all.

A special thanks to the staff at the Toby Jug, Armagh for the beautiful food and refreshments provided afterwards.

We would also like to thank the staff at Craigavon Area Hospital and Northern Ireland Ambulance Service who cared for Cora with unfailing kindness and attention during her short illness.

The Poor Clare’s Order deserve specific thanks for the constant friendship and spiritual guidance provided to Cora as their Associate Member and the dignified and unrelenting support they provided her with, on her final journey towards her eternal home.

Thank you to Martin Kelly, funeral directors and staff for the dignified and professional manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements and supported the family throughout.

Cora’s Months Mind Mass will take place on Wednesday September 28, at 7.30pm in St Patrick’s Cathedral, Armagh and can be viewed online at the following link St. Patrick’s Cathedral Parish Online Mass.
