Acknowledgement for the late Charles Fanning (Keady)

Fanning, Charles.

We the family of the late Charles Fanning would like to thank all those who sympathized and offered support to us on our recent bereavement. In particular we would like to thank all our relatives, friends and neighbours who called at the house, brought food, served tea at the wake, attended the funeral (online and in person) and who sent cards or flowers.

We are so thankful for our wonderful friends and neighbours who offered us so much support during Daddy’s illness, and especially for Helen, who was like a second mother to us and always there when we needed her. Thanks also to Mary Treanor, a lifelong friend of the family who visited Daddy every week to bring him the blessed sacrament, which meant so much to him.

Our profound thanks go to all the Carers who looked after Daddy over the last 3 years, we will always be immensely grateful for all the care and dignity he was given. Thanks also to all the medical professionals who helped Daddy during his illness, offering advice and assistance to the family.

A special thanks to Fr. McCann, who celebrated the beautiful requiem mass, and Fr. O’Neill who called at the house and assisted at the graveside. We would also like to thank the choir for providing such lovely music during the mass.

Our sincere thanks to Bridget at Mone Funeral Directors for the sensitive and respectful way she carried out the funeral arrangements. Nothing was too much trouble for her and we thank her for the support she gave to all the family. Thanks also to Mone Caterers, who provided very welcome refreshments after the funeral in the parish hall.

It is impossible to thank everyone personally, but we want anyone who offered their help, support, or even a kind word to know that it was greatly appreciated.

Daddy’s Months Mind mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Church Keady on Saturday January 25, at 6:30 pm and can be viewed online via the parish webcam.
