Shields Benny. The family of the late Benny Shields of Coalisland Road, Dungannon would like to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all our kind relatives, friends, and neighbours, who supported us during our recent bereavement.
Our sincere gratitude to Father Eugene O’Neill and Dean Kevin Donaghy for their spiritual support and guidance during Benny’s illness and to Fr O’Neill for celebrating the beautiful Requiem Mass.
A special word of thanks to the family members, friends, to vocalist Serena Maxwell, and pianist Nuala McCormick for their touching contributions to the celebration.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all those who cared for Benny throughout his illness, especially the doctors, nurses and staff of The Medical Centre Surgery, O’Neills Pharmacy Coalisland, the Coalisland District Nursing team, the Southern Trust Palliative Care team, the carers from Ann’s Home Care and the team from Marie Curie. Thank you for all your care and support for Benny.
We are indebted to all those who supported us during the wake, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, letters, messages, wreathes, floral tributes and expressed their condolences via telephone or on social media.
Thank you to those who stood along the route as Benny made his final journey. We took great comfort from the support of everyone who lined the funeral cortege route, from those who joined us at the chapel, and from those who viewed his Funeral Mass online.
We would sincerely like to thank Peter Devlin from M. Dorman and Son, Funeral Directors for the very efficient, dignified, supportive and professional manner in which they carried out all the funeral arrangements during these difficult times.
As it is not possible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a small gesture of our sincere appreciation.
Benny’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Monday January 10, 2022 at 7.30pm at the Church of the Holy Family, Platers Hill, Coalisland.
