We, the family of the late Barbara McGilly (RIP) wish to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who travelled far and near to offer sympathy, prayer and support during the recent loss of our mother, mother-in-law and granny.
We would like to thank the medical teams and care staff especially Ann’s Home Care for the kindness and compassionate Care they showed during her illness.
A special thank you to Fr. Garett for his spiritual care right up to Barbara’s passing and for delivering a beautiful, personal and compassionate homily at Barbara’s requiem mass.
To the McBennetts sisters whose beautiful voices and chosen hymns brought so much comfort to the family and also their parents John and Teresa McBennett who treated and took care of Barbara over the years like she was a mother of their own we very much appreciate your kindness.
To “her girls” Patricia and Pauline for your endless cups of tea and much loved time spent with Barbara throughout the years we are very grateful to you both.
Thank you to Brendan Scullion, no job was ever too big or too small, for his kindness shown and who quickly became a part of our family.
We would also like to like to thank Quinn’s Corner for the beautiful food served for the funeral.
A sincere word of thanks to Martin and Maeve of Martin Kelly Funeral Directors for firstly, the personal compassion that was shown to our family in our time of grief and also the dignified way in which our mother was laid to rest in their care.
It is impossible for us to thank everyone personally but we hope this acknowledgment will be accepted as an expression of our sincere gratitude.
Barbara’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday February 5, at 7pm in St. John Tartarghan Chapel.
