Tinnelly, Aoife.
We, the family of the late Aoife Tinnelly wish to thank most sincerely all those who supported us during the recent tragic loss of our darling Aoife.
To the emergency services of the NI Ambulance Service, PSNI, NI Fire & Rescue Service and members of the public who attended to Aoife at the accident scene with such professionalism but also a dignified compassion, we thank you for your efforts on that fateful evening and every day to keep us all safe.
To the people of Rostrevor who lined the village in such a solemn and dignified manner as Aoife made her last journey through her home village, we say a heartfelt thank you.
To all our extended family and friends who helped throughout the week up until the funeral and beyond, we are eternally grateful for carrying us through the trauma of that week.
A sincere thank you to every person who called at Aoife’s home to offer their condolences and support, sent messages, Mass cards, letters and sympathy cards and posted beautiful online tributes.
We are truly overwhelmed by the love and support given to Aoife and shown to our family during this time.
To all who attended Aoife’s Funeral on such a beautiful Spring morning and a special mention to those who travelled from afar and from abroad to help ensure our beloved daughter and sister received the perfect send-off that properly reflected the life she lived.
To Fr. Des Mooney, we will be forever grateful for the compassion and love you offered to us throughout the week. From attending to Aoife on the Monday night right through to leading the beautiful Requiem Mass and celebration of her life on Saturday.
To Fr. Nicky Hennity who concelebrated Aoife’s Funeral Mass and also prayed with us at her home as did Fr. Cahill and Canon Kearney, you were all an immense source of comfort and strength for us all throughout the week.
To Aoife’s loving friends who read at her Requiem Mass, to the Phillip’s sisters for the beautiful music during the service, to the students and teachers of Sacred Heart Grammar School who formed a guard of honour at the funeral and provided such a loving embrace to Maisie during that week, we will be forever thankful.
To the staff of Mourne Office Supplies for the beautiful Mass booklet, to the Eucharistic Ministers in Massforth, to Nicky and Paul Doran, to Pat Magee for providing the external sound system and all those who helped make Aoife’s Funeral such a special occasion, a sincere thank you to you all.
To the staff of McAnulty Funeral Directors, particularly Cathal and Méabh, we thank you from the bottom of our heart’s for taking care of everything throughout that week and for the dignified and loving care you afforded to Aoife herself between Wednesday and Saturday.
Thanks also to the management and staff of the Kilmorey Arms Hotel for hosting us and providing refreshments after Aoife’s Funeral.
Thank you to all who donated to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust in lieu of flowers both at the wake and online.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our most sincere gratitude and heartfelt appreciation.
Month’s Mind Masses for Aoife will take place on Saturday May 23rd in St. Colman’s Church Massforth, Kilkeel at 7PM and on Sunday May 24th in St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church, Rostrevor at 11.30 AM.
