Acknowledgement for the late Ann McVeigh (Portadown)

McVeigh, Ann.

We the family of the late Ann McVeigh would like to extend our gratitude for the overwhelming sympathy and support received during the recent bereavement of a dearly loved wife, mother, nanny, sister, aunt and friend.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to our extended family, friends, neighbours and wider circle who attended Ann’s wake and funeral. We extend our appreciation to Tír na nÓg GFC and St. Mary’s YCFC for providing us with resources to help facilitate the wake.

Thank you to all who visited the family home, brought cards and made donations to Down’s and Proud and The Royal Victoria Hospital.

Special thanks to Father Clarke for his spiritual guidance and for holding a heartfelt Requiem Mass. We also thank Francis for his assistance.

To Bernadette Devlin and Briege Conway – we were deeply touched by the beautiful music and singing which enriched the Mass. We appreciate all those who helped celebrate Ann’s life through the bringing up of gifts and the readings.

To the Doctors and Nurses who took care of Ann in the RVH ICU and Acute Stroke Unit. We cannot stress enough how grateful we are for the dignity and care you showed her during her time in hospital.

We are deeply indebted to Dermot and Mairead, and all the staff at Quinn Bros. Funeral Services for their help and guidance during the wake and funeral. Their professionalism, compassion and support through those days was immeasurable.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope that this can be accepted as an acknowledgement of our sincere thanks to anyone who has supported us in any way over the last month.

May Ann’s gentle soul Rest In Peace.

St. Pio, Pray for her.

Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Thursday January 4, at 7.00pm in the Church of St. John the Baptist, Drumcree.
