Acknowledgement for the late Alice Murphy (Darkley)

Murphy, Alice (Darkley). Alice’s sons and daughters and the entire family circle wish to thank all those who offered support and sympathy to them during their sad bereavement. To all our wonderful family, friends and kind neighbours whose help was invaluable over the wake and funeral and indeed throughout mummy’s life.

To all those who attended the wake/funeral, brought mass/sympathy cards, telephoned or messaged or posted online their expressions of sympathy we assure you these were all greatly appreciated.

Thanks also to those who brought gifts of food to the wake both individuals and businesses especially George Corr from 4C coffee house and the Shelbourne Newry.

Thanks to all those who cared for Mummy at home during her illness particularly Dr Murray and Dr Mulholland and staff from Newtownhamilton Surgery, the carers, Keady and District nursing team and the Marie Curie team. A special thanks to the priests of the parish and in particular Fr Greg Carvil for his pastoral care of us and for celebrating a beautiful and fitting funeral mass.

We express our gratitude to Paul the Sacriston for preparing the church and to Catherine and Dermot for the wonderful music which enhanced the celebration of the mass.

Finally to Bridget Mone of Mone funeral Directors for the complete and professional handling of all the funeral arrangements and to Raymond Watters of Old Coach Castleblaney for the post burial refreshments.

At the risk of failing to mention someone we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a sincere token of our appreciation.

Mummy’s month mind mass will be held in St Patrick’s Church Keady on Monday February 6, at 7pm
