Acknowledgement for the late Aidan McVeigh (Mullabrack, formerly Granemore)

McVeigh, Aidan, (Mullabrack, formerly Granemore). The family of the late Aidan McVeigh RIP would like to thank all those who offered support and sympathy to them during their recent bereavement.

To all our wonderful family, friends and kind neighbours whose help was invaluable over the recent period and indeed throughout the years.

We thank all those who attended the wake and funeral, brought mass/sympathy cards, telephoned or posted their condolences online and gave generous donations to Marie Curie. We assure you these were all greatly appreciated.

Thank you to all the individuals and businesses who brought gifts of food to the house and to all who worked tirelessly in the kitchen to serve tea as well as those keeping everyone safe outside.

A special thanks to Fr Woods for celebrating a beautiful and fitting funeral mass and to Fr McAnenly for his regular visits and for concelebrating at the funeral mass.

We are also very appreciative of the Sacristan for preparing the church and for the Gold Ring Band for their beautiful music which greatly enhanced the mass.

Massive thanks to all those who cared for Aidan throughout his short illness notably the Doctors and staff of Friary Surgery, the Doctors and nurses in C.A.H, the Markethill District Nursing Team and the input and support from the Marie Curie team.

We thank Mullabrack Hall for the use of the facilities during the wake and post funeral.

Finally sincere gratitude to the gravedigger for preparing the grave and to Bridget Mone of Mone funeral Directors for the professional and compassionate handling of all the funeral arrangements.

At the risk of failing to mention someone we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a sincere token of our appreciation.

Aidan’s month mind mass will be held in St James Chapel Mullabrack on Sunday January 22, at 11:30am
