Police have closed the Tandragee Road in Newry due to hazardous driving conditions.
Diversions are in place between Carnbane and Jerretspass.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes for their journey.
Motorists are also advised to reduce speed and exercise caution this morning due to adverse weather conditions causing difficult driving conditions on many roads in the area.
Earlier today, the Department for Infrastructure released figures on the amount of road deaths there have been in 2017.
That number stood at 63 – five fewer than 2016.
The information was released by the Department for Infrastructure as it once again encouraged all road users to take personal responsibility and “share the road in 2018” and ensure their own safety and that of other road users.
