Emergency services are currently dealing with a lorry fire close to the A1 this morning (Wednesday).
The incident happened on a quarry near Banbridge before 9am.
Police have confirmed the road remains open but has advised motorists to be cautious when passing on the northbound lane.
Fire crews are dealing with the fire.
A PSNI spokesperson, posting on social media, said: “Lorry near quarry, smoke covering carriageway.
“Slow down, not just due to smoke and poor visibility, but because our NIFRS colleagues will be working on it.
“Carriageway still open at this time.”
