Kieran McGeeney will remain in charge of the Armagh footballers next season.

The decision to keep hold of the All-Ireland winning captain was made at a County Board meeting last night.

The 44-year-old will continue to work with the senior side and have Aidan O’Rourke staying on as assistant manager.

Peter McDonnell taking over as under-21 coach.

It was an extremely disappointing season for the Orchard county who exited the championship having lost to Laois – twice – in the qualifiers and to Cavan in the Ulster Championship.
