Two teenage boys attacked and robbed by ‘gang of 20’

Two teenage boys were attacked and robbed by a gang of possibly 20 people in Portadown.

Police are appealing for information following a robbery which happened around 5pm on Saturday, January 23.

The incident was reported to police as having taken place in the vicinity of Hoy’s Meadow in Portadown near Foundry Street

A 15-year-old male and 19-year-old male were assaulted by a group of people (possibly up to 20 people).

Both males had their mobile phones taken. They sustained facial injuries which required medical treatment.

A 16-year-old female, a 20-year-old male and a 25-year-old male were arrested.

They were later released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the attack or has information that may assist their investigation to contact them in Lurgan on 101, quoting ref: 825 230116.
