Police in Armagh are investigating reports of an assault on a 54-year-old man in the Tandragee Road area of Markethill at around 7pm last night (Sunday).
Chief Inspector Gillian West said a 60-year-old man was later arrested in the Dungannon area shortly after midnight on suspicious of common assault and threats to kill.
He has since been released and investigations are continuing.
Chief Inspector West appealed to anyone with information to contact police in Armagh on the non-emergency number 101, or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
