The sudden death of a man in Newry over the weekend is not being treated as suspicious, say police.
A post-mortem was carried out on the body of Mark Leonard, who was in his 30s, after he was found in a house in The Marshes area of the city on Sunday morning.
The results have come back inconclusive.
Speaking at the weekend, independent councillor David Hyland, who knows the Leonard family, said the community had been left “in shock that someone so young had passed away”.
“It’s sad that such a tragedy should befall someone, and my thoughts are with their family,” he said.
“This is a time when people should be looking forward to celebrations with their loved ones.”
Mr Leonard’s funeral will take place on in the city.
He remains will leave his parent’s residence in Clonmore, Armagh Road, tomorrow (Thursday) at 12.30pm for 1pm Requiem Mass at St Catherine’s Chapel, Dominic St, Newry.
Mr Leonard is survived by his parents Geraldine and Joseph, brother Kevin, sister Deborah, brother-in-law Paul and nephews Conor and James.
