Man killed in Saturday night RTC named as police appeal for witnesses

He was from the Downpatrick area

A man who died in an roaf tragic accident outside Newry has been named.

Feargal Magennis, 43, died when the motorcycle he was travelling on collided with a car on Saturday evening.

He was from the Downpatrick area.

The incident happened on the Castlewellan Road near Rathfriland on August 26.

Police continue to appeal for witnesses, or anyone who has any information they believe could help them to call the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference 1450 of 26/08/17.
