Police have charged a 23-year-old man with causing unnecessary suffering to animals.
He is due to appear at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, (Wednesday), February 7.
As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
It is understood the charges follow the death of an 11-week-old puppy in Co Armagh.
Police had earlier appeal for information after it was reported the pet dog, named Sparky, had suffered an “horrendous death”.
A 16-year-old youth has been released on bail pending further police enquiries.
