Lorry with large load of confectionery goods stolen in Middletown

A lorry full of confectionery goods was stolen from a yard in Middletown over the weekend.

Police in Armagh are investigating the theft from a yard in the Monaghan Road area of Middletown on Sunday (February 26).

It was reported that sometime between 3pm and 6pm, a parked car in the yard was broken into and keys for the lorry taken from the car, then used to steal the lorry.

The lorry was a blue Scania cab with a silver curtain side trailer containing a large quantity of confectionery goods.

Inspector Lynsey Barr has appealed for anyone with any information which could assist officers with their enquiries to contact police in Armagh on 101 quoting reference number 1016 26/02/17 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
