Police detailed their activities over the last nine days across the Borough

Two men were arrested after a car was stolen, crashed and burnt out in Armagh last week.

The men were charged with arson, drink driving, failing to provide a preliminary breath specimen, no insurance and breach of court bail.

The investigating officer opposed bail and both remained in custody until their court hearing the next morning.

There, bail was once again denied, with both defendants now remanded in prison, awaiting their next appearance in court.

The arrests were part of a busy week for police across the Borough.

A number of petrol bombs were thrown at a property in Craigavon on Tuesday and Wednesday of last week.

Three men were arrested for numerous offences including arson with intent to endanger life, possession of a petrol bomb in suspicious circumstances, and after follow up searches – possession of class B with intent to supply.

In Banbridge, police gave chase to two car passengers after they arrested the driver following a routine stop. Drugs were detected in the car.

A short time later, a vehicle was stolen from the town centre and at one stage was driven the wrong side of the A1.

The two suspects were later arrested for dangerous driving, no insurance, and aggravated vehicle taking.

The PSNI were highlighting their week on their social media pages.
