£100,000 roadworks plan for Portadown

Transport Minister Danny Kennedy has announced £100,000 for road improvements in Kingsway Drive, Portadown.
The Minister said: “Preparatory works are due to begin in early December on the scheme which will refurbish the roads and footways in the area.”
Following the holiday period, the carriageways in the development will be subject to temporary road closure, between Monday, January 6 and Sunday, January 19 to enable the resurfacing of the carriageways to be completed. As this is a cul-de-sac there will be no diversion routes involved, however access for residents will be maintained.
This area is residential area and whilst the works are in progress residents will be able to access the estate, although there may be periods when works operations will hinder this access and lead to delays.
Roads Service and the contractor will make every effort to minimise the inconvenience and would ask that the public exercise caution and patience whilst the works are in progress.
As with all works of this nature, planned dates are subject to favourable weather conditions and Roads Service will keep the public informed of any unavoidable change to the programme.
